Almants cycles in Latvia

2016-10-14T12:31:13+11:00October 24th, 2014|

This is Almants. He is part of a family of eleven children. They live in a rundown, ugly, former movie theatre in one of the remote areas of Riga. The building is so rotten and old that when they went in as a family to live there no one really cared. This is one of the buildings in which you really pray that the roof will not collapse while you are inside. A terrible place. However the family stuck together. Two of the older boys developed mid-stage schizophrenia. Most of the other kids have asthma and other illnesses. Government allowance [...]

The greatest disease in the West today

2015-11-11T19:00:15+11:00October 14th, 2014|

That’s a great quote of Mother Teresa “The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty — it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There’s a hunger for love, as there [...]

Ministry in USA, May-June 2014

2015-11-11T19:00:07+11:00July 2nd, 2014|

Amazing ministry in the USA I had an extremely busy 2 months on this series of missions in the USA. The ministry in Florida at the River of Life AOG church in Merritt Island, and the Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville bore wonderful fruit with many coming to the Lord. At the Park Avenue Baptist Church I had four services that day – two church services, an adult Sunday school with the older charismatic prayer and prophetic group. The evening saw a dynamic youth service led by the pastor’s son. I had a wonderful two morning Easter services in [...]

Fruitful Ministry in Europe March-April 2014

Special Ministry in Sweden and England I enjoyed ministering to The Bethel congregation in Vagnharad south of Stockholm, pastored by my friends, Åke and Lise Wallman. The sweet presence of the Lord was there to encourage the people to share their faith in Christ with everyone they could, knowing that they could be bringing someone to Jesus who could be a world reformer. St Luke’s Anglican Church, Hawkinge, Kent hosted me for two Sunday morning services. The precious older people responded to the challenge of God’s word like the seasoned WW2 veterans that they are. The beautiful worship time opened [...]

Ukraine Orphans Needs during these Revolutionary times March 2014

2016-10-14T12:31:13+11:00March 27th, 2014|

From my manager, Oleg Vasilchuk in Odessa (Where we support 10 Orphanages, the Homeless Children’s Centre, a Youth Sports Club and the New Church Oleg pioneered 3 years ago for the street kids) Political conflicts are the nightmare to begin with, but political conflicts of Ukraine scale are far worse than any of the nightmares. We have gone through some of the darkest and hardest times – times of brutal violence and devastating pain. Yet we fear that it is not yet over, we do foresee more hardships ahead. Over hundred people were killed already by the government forces, most [...]
