Overview report on the work in Odessa Oblast

2020-07-14T15:30:48+10:00July 11th, 2020|

Report from Sasha Kohen our manager in Europe: For many long months the attention of the world was focused on the plague named COVID-19. Country by country, like a falling domino house, went into the lockdown, sealing the borders, cancelling travel, closing schools and dramatically slowing down economies. No one could have imagined such drastic and sudden changes. As of today, almost 5 months into the “New World” over 525,000 people have died because of this unknown virus, leaving a bleeding wound that will take long time to heal. Probably the world we knew [...]

Odessa Rescue Mission 2 – June, July & August 2020

2020-09-15T12:33:01+10:00June 28th, 2020|

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity over the last three months our local Rescue Teams in Odessa have visited 108 country villages, reached over 4,100 needy Orphans who were evicted from their Orphanage Boarding Schools (3,500 orphans more than we started searching for) and given out 1,400 picture Bibles and 1,500 Survival Packs of food, basic medicines and hygiene products to hundreds of needy families. I was stunned that they covered so much ground on horrendous roads in the present lockdown situation. The old vans have battled on horrendous roads with [...]

Ministry in England & Orphans in Ukraine November 2019

2019-11-23T16:45:43+11:00November 23rd, 2019|

Here is an update of my recent ministry overseas, especially with ministry to the orphans and homeless children’s in Odessa, Ukraine. On Sunday November 3rd I was in Central London ministering to the Salvation Chinese Church in a combined service for Mandarin & Cantonese speaking believers at St Margaret Patten Anglican Church, near Tower Bridge, London. I’ve known many of these Chinese believers for two decades and have found them so diligent in their witness for Christ to the extent that they have planted a number of daughter churches in different areas of London. It’s been marvelous seeing them reach [...]

Ministry in USA and then to Eastern Europe Oct ~ Nov 2019

In early October, the Friday night Fellowship Meeting at John & Linda Andrewski’s home in Mashpee, Cape Cod, was joined by the Yarmouth Ladies Bible Study Group, led by Pat Greene. Linda, Pat and these precious ladies had knitted many little baby blankets, scarves, beanies and little jackets for the orphans and brain-damaged babies of Odessa, Ukraine. They had brought these articles to the Home Meeting to be packed in a huge suitcase for me to take to Odessa in early November. The fellowship was very precious and the message on leaving a legacy for generations after ours was [...]

Brain Damaged Babies Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine The great news is that we have been able to supply and install a Portable Respirator to help these disadvantaged little children with malformed lungs breathe normally when their lungs aren’t functioning properly. In addition, we were able to provide the vitally necessary Mucous Suction Machine that these children desperately need when their lungs block up with mucous and they can suffocate. They are noisy machines but do their work thoroughly. We have recently placed the order with the supplier in Poland for the Verticalizer Chair for little children costing $3,500, so [...]

Early in the morning at the House of Hope

2018-11-29T16:51:58+11:00November 29th, 2018|

Every morning kids in The House of Hope begin their day with prayers and studying Bible. For each of them, that is an opportunity to start your day in a right way dedicating it to the Lord. It’s so good to see the open hearts of boys and girls! All kids aim to study Bible and assimilate the values that leaders invest in them. Previously, they spent the morning in a completely different way, but here, in the House of Hope, their morning begins not only with physical, but also with spiritual food. The lives of many biblical heroes demonstrate [...]
